REQUEST TO ADD A DIASPORA REP TO ROPAA CONSULTATIVE AND IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE

REQUEST TO ADD A DIASPORA REP TO ROPAA CONSULTATIVE AND IMPLEMENTATION
COMMITTEE

Dear Mrs. Jean Mensah,

We note with concern that there is no Diaspora Representative on the ROPAA
Consultative and Implementation Committee.

We further observe that the Committee is composed of Representatives from
the EC, Civil Society Organizations, the Peace Council, the Academia, the
ruling New Patriotic Party and the opposition National Democratic Congress.

Information reaching us is that Mr. Kofi Akpaloo of the Liberal Party of
Ghana, has been included in the Committee as a Representative of the
Minority Parties.

We rightly wonder why there are no Representatives from the Diaspora on the
Committee.

Therefore, we strongly recommend that the Diaspora is included in the
Committee, for effective implementation of ROPAA. After all, this Act
directly impacts the Diaspora Community.

Accordingly, we call upon EC to reconsider the composition of the Committee,
to include three Zonal Representatives for the Americas, Europe & Africa and
Asia & Australia

Sincerely,

Signed, Concerned Ghanaians in Diaspora:

Kwaku Appiah (Germany, 0049-17621845702)
